Habitat: Reimagining Brits' bedroom antics

When asked to drive awareness of Habitat’s bedroom range; we set about analysing all the British idiosyncrasies when it comes to the boudoir. Our research revealed an unusual (and pretty divisive) trend for eating in bed. A discovery swiftly coined as Bedroom Banqueting, naturally…

Our response?

Having identified a trend, we sought data and insights to help us measure its impact.

Backed up with research, and stats from the business, we captured strong shots to bring it to life, and used our audience’s passion for TV as a platform. This meant capitalising on the range of box set favourites hitting our screens to entice Bedroom Banqueters out of the closet.

We ramped up the media appeal by adding a call-to-action: a bedroom banqueting service for Brits to seek advice on styling their own set-up.

We also enlisted the support of comedic influencer Chris Hall to further bring the campaign to life on social, encouraging followers to try bedroom banqueting for themselves.

Results

We secured a slew of national hits, including a front page news story in the i newspaper, the London Evening Standard, BBC broadcast and more.

Further hits  across print, online and broadcast helped us to secure a total reach of over 20 million.

Meanwhile a collaboration with Chris Hall brought this to life on TikTok and Instagram which boasted over 150,000 impressions. Bedroom Banqueting took off – Google Trends revealed searches around dining in bed peaked by 98% in March, when the campaign went live.
