WBB: putting a brewery on the map

Inspired by its community, West Berkshire Brewery was one of the best kept secrets in British beers.

Our job was to project the brand outside of Berkshire and put it on the map nationally, by raising brand awareness and equity

Our response?

A series of cost-effective creative activations, coupled with the ongoing drumbeat of a highly proficient press office that reacted at top-speed to the news agenda. From a competition renaming a boozer in dad’s honour for Father’s Day to dog biscuits made of beer by-products, we succeeded in taking a regional brand and putting it on the radar of the masses.


We secured more than 120 pieces of coverage across national, consumer lifestyle, trade and broadcast with highlights including Independent.co.uk, Mail Online, The Sun, Express.co.uk, Mirror.co.uk, Times.co.uk and BBC Radio. This helped to achieve an awareness increase of over 42%.

The volume and quality of coverage resulted in a national listing with Sainsbury’s, as well as interest from multiple other national retailers.
