Piqant: colliding meditation with caffeine

The team at Piqant (a newly launched coffee marketplace) were looking to raise brand awareness amongst media and influencers. We responded with a unique launch event that turned the way we consume our ‘morning brew’ on its head.

Our response?

Collide coffee with its opposite: meditation. From something designed to bring you ‘up’, to a practice designed to soothe you down, we saw something interesting in making opposites attract.

We partnered with one of Piqant’s independent roasters, 39 steps, and a leading mediation expert to host the preview. The meditation expert devised a practice to bring to life the ‘bean to cup’ journey by combining breathwork, senses and tasting moments. Following this, attendees were given the opportunity to reflect on their tasting journey before a roaster highlighted the coffee origins and brewing processes. The event created a complete coffee immersion, ensuring the brand was front and centre.


A media event with a host of top-tier media in the bag. This alongside a series of high-profile influencers with a total reach that exceeded 1 million. Overall this has driven 23 coverage hits to date.

Most importantly, the unique experience drove social noise and boosted brand awareness, raising Piqant’s profile amongst key players in the coffee and lifestyle space.
