Grand Marnier: Celebrating Margarita Day in style

We wanted to own National Margarita Day and have the Grand Marnier twist on a classic cocktail at centre stage.

Our response

Partner with Nightjar to curate an exclusive National Margarita Day menu. With The Grand Margarita in the spotlight.

A consumer competition for free Grand Margaritas to the first 100 customers, saw queues forming.

To further promote the Grand Margarita and collaboration with Nightjar we also hosted media at the Nightjar venues. Offering them the chance to sample our margarita twist.

Those unable to make it to the venue, received mailers with everything they needed to make the The Grand Margarita at home.

We sold our news and competition into press alongside quotes from Grand Marnier brand ambassadors and Nightjar’s head bartender to really make the story shine.

Results

Whilst its hard to challenge a fan favorite, our Grand Margarita certainly caused a stir.

We secured six pieces of coverage. All including our Nightjar imagery.

The coverage spanned across Lifestyle, Listings and Trade titles, including Cosmopolitan, Secret London, About Time and Spirits Business.

On the night, there was a strong footfall with the 100 free cocktails flying off the shelves. Both Nightjar venues also sold 600+ cocktails on that night!
