Taylor Bennett: Supporting inclusivity in communications

The Taylor Bennett Foundation is a wonderful charity that supports black, Asian and minority ethnic graduates pursuing a career in communications

We are proud supporters, and enjoy flexing our creative muscles to fundraise on their behalf.

The challenge

Our goal was to drive donations whilst simultaneously raise awareness for our third fundraiser. As a start-up, we had limited budget, but maximum creativity (and endless enthusiasm and commitment!).

The approach

We tapped into the appetite for conversation around mental wellbeing, and identified an exciting author – Dr Samara Linton, editor of a book called The Colour of Madness. We hosted a thought-provoking Q&A, and created a buzz with a book signing, fantastic raffle prizes secured from our clients, and specially curated food and drinks for the night.

We put our PR skills to excellent use, raising awareness of the event on social and traditional media, with coverage in the likes of Design my night, Evvnt.com, and Britevents.com.

Results

Via our 40 attendees and additional donations to raffle tickets, we raised £1,510 smashing our target and increasing +35% of last years total.
